: The room was a decent size, but that's the only positive thing I can say about this facility.
: The cleanliness was absolutely not up to par. The handle for the fridge and the microwave was black. I had the clean it with Clorox wipes and there was obvious, visible grime that came off. The pillow cases looked yellow; it was supposed to be white. When I asked to have it replaced, they said they have no more pillows to give, so I went to Target to get new pillows/pillow cases because I did not feel comfortable with the ones provided. The room had a horrible smell like something died in it. It was supposed to be non-smoking but it sure did not smell like it. The keys had to be re-keyed on a daily basis, and when I asked the "front desk" why that was the case when I already paid for 3 days total, their response was "We have to re-key it daily for your own protection, in case you lose your key, no one else can get into your room." However, they never asked for ID when I did have it re-keyed on a daily basis. There were questionable people hanging out in the parking area, which did not make me feel comfortable; there was a man rambling on incoherently who jumped into the pool with all his clothes on. That should tell you everything you need to know about the type of people hanging out in this particular motel. I stayed here because of unforeseen circumstances, I had to extend my stay in Visalia, and the Marriott was fully booked, so I could not extend my stay at that hotel even though I was already there... Figured this motel was the next closest thing downtown, but lesson learned. Will never book here again.
