  : We selected Extended Stay at Tyson's Corner because it was relatively close to Dulles and Washington DC. Parking facilities were adequate and we had no problem finding a parking spot. Staff was courteous and check-in and check-out was fast and easy. The beds were comfortable.
  : We were cautiously optimistic arriving in our room, based on other three star hotels we have stayed at previously. However, nothing could have prepared us for what was in store for our next two days. I have never seen a more filthy room, whether it was the kitchen facility, bedroom area or the bathroom.We never used the kitchen, basically because it was littered with crumbs and dust from previous occupants. Everything appeared to be smudged and greasy, same can be said about the bedroom area itself. The bathroom looked like something that was bought from a concentration camp surplus-store. The toilet itself was clean but the bath tub, shower and sink area looked dirty and not very clean. Dust was on top of every door and had obviously not been cleaned for quite some time.The whole room looked worn and well used. We had trouble every time opening the door and it looked as though the lock itself was a lottery machine, opening up every tenth time when we used the keycard. The air conditioner sounded like something that would be used in an industrial warehouse, such was the noise. We were unable to keep the air-con on during the night since it was unbearable to sleep with the noise. Overall, we stubbornly stayed in the room, mainly because we were only using it to sleep while we were touring Washington DC but I could never, under any circumstances, recommend this room for anyone staying there for an extended period.Please check the enclosed photos for further proof.Ps. We realized when we arrived that there was a free breakfast option that came with the room, which at the time sounded like a pleasant surprise. The breakfast 'buffet' was store bought muffins and coffee from the local coffee machine in the lobby.
