However, my latest experience has left me frustrated and infuriated.In May of 2024, I booked a two-night stay at the Comfort Inn in Sandusky, Ohio through Booking.com for a trip to Cedar Point with my two sons. I made this reservation one and a half weeks in advance. Unfortunately, upon driving to the hotel, I realized that I had been directed to the Comfort Inn in Upper Sandusky, which is approximately one and a half hours away from our intended destination.Upon arrival at the incorrect hotel, I confirmed that I had not made any errors in the booking process. I explained the situation to the hotel’s front desk clerk, who advised me to contact Booking.com to resolve the issue. After waiting on hold for approximately thirty minutes, I spoke with a customer service representative whose name I could not clearly understand due to a thick accent.The representative assured me that I would be reimbursed for the booking error and instructed me to make a new reservation through Booking.com for a closer hotel. He reiterated that I would receive a confirmation email once they received a response from Choice Hotels. Thankfully, I recorded this conversation for reference.After making a new reservation, I waited for the promised confirmation email. Despite checking my email frequently and waiting for over 35 hours, I received no communication from Booking.com. I called customer service again and was told that they were still waiting for a response from Choice Hotels.Frustrated, I reached out to Choice Hotels, who confirmed that my reservation had been successfully canceled and that I had not been charged for the...
