: The location and lake views at Surfside were amazing! My lower-level king suite opened out to a private patio overlooking Lake Superior, with waves crashing on the beach within 50 feet of my door. The Surfside has all the amenities I would expect from an upscale property, including an indoor pool, hot tub and spa, laundry facilities, and an in-room kitchenette including a coffee maker and mini-fridge, plus real plates, silverware and glassware. I was very pleasantly surprised at all the complementary activities available, including bicycle rentals, guided hikes, kayaking tours, and the biggest plus for me free shuttles to area trailheads. Three days wasn't long enough for me... I look forward to bringing my family here soon for an extended stay. I highly recommend Surfside to anyone looking for a quiet, upscale retreat!
: The check-in/registration is shared with a sister property about a half mile away. It was not communicated in advance on booking.com that I would need to register at the sister property during certain hours. I had to do a bit of driving to get it clarified because I couldn't get a live person on the phone using their main contact number.

: The townhouses were beautiful and the location is great.
: Staff on site were not always available. There was a leak on the pipes so the upstairs shower couldnt be used without it leaking from the ceiling Into the main bedroom. We needed more garbage bags and never received them after calling twice. The master bed was hard as rock. The restaurant on site was not open due to staffing issues.

: When I paid for the room online the pictures of the room showed a nice lake view. Did not get that. I was put in a room that was on bottom floor facing the woods. Very disappointed!
