The home was built by Captain Robert Davison in 1940, and was originally located on 25th Street. Over the years, it had been moved several times before finally being placed at Heritage Square Park, where it stands today as a testament to Texas City's history.
The two-story frame house was designed in the Dutch Colonial style with an eye for detail and craftsmanship. It features a gambrel roof with dormers and intricate trim, as well as traditional window placement along the gables. Inside, there are three bedrooms, one full bath and a spacious living room with period furnishings from the 1940s. The kitchen is equipped with vintage appliances while the dining room includes a unique china cabinet. In addition to these amenities, there is also a basement that served as a bomb shelter during World War II.
