Telluride Arts is a unique arts organization that brings the creativity, vibrancy, and energy of art to the small mountain town of Telluride, Colorado. Founded in 2006, this 501c3 nonprofit serves as a hub for creative expression and cultural enrichment in the region. Through its diverse range of programming, Telluride Arts strives to support local artists, bring high quality art programming to the community, advocate for public art projects and provide resources for youth development.
The organization’s dedication to fostering meaningful connections through art has resulted in an incredibly strong presence throughout Telluride and beyond. Telluride Arts works with local schools and organizations providing arts education opportunities and hosting interactive workshops focused on different mediums like pottery, painting, photography, jewelry making and much more. They also host numerous professional events such as concerts featuring national music acts, film screenings at their beautiful outdoor venue—the Palm Theatre—and their annual summer festival ArtWalk that brings together visual artists from all over Colorado in a two day celebration of creativity and collaboration.
In addition to these programs and events, Telluride Arts also manages several initiatives aimed at enriching the local community’s access to art. Most notably they facilitate grants that support public art projects around town & provide scholarships for young aspiring artists within the community. Furthermore they organize rotating exhibitions at their gallery located inside the historic Wilkinson Public Library building that feature both established & emerging local talent.
