Founded in 1966 by rancher, artist and philanthropist George R. “Pat” Anderson, the Ranch has become an integral part of the local art scene. Boasting two impressive galleries, two buildings for workshops, six art studios and an outdoor sculpture park, the ranch has everything you need to pursue your creativity.

The Anderson Ranch Arts Center offers a variety of workshops throughout the year from painting to photography to ceramics. These workshops provide aspiring and experienced artists with the opportunity to learn new skills while networking with established professionals in their field. In addition to hands-on instruction and mentoring from professional artists, each workshop includes access to some of the best facilities found anywhere in the world including printmaking equipment and darkrooms as well as specialized digital media labs.

The Anderson Ranch Arts Center also hosts a number of events throughout the year such as performances, lectures, readings, film screenings and more. The ranch is home to four galleries that feature rotating exhibitions of contemporary art – ranging from regional up-and-coming artists to internationally renowned ones. The galleries are free and open to the public most days from 10am until 5pm with extended hours on Thursday evenings until 8pm.

One of the most unique features at Anderson Ranch Arts Center is its outdoor sculpture park located within its grounds. This secluded area showcases some of Colorado’s finest sculptures – ranging from monumental pieces by world-renowned sculptors to small works by local emerging talents. Visitors can explore this collection any day between 9am - 7pm during summer months (May - October).
