Additionally, there are videos available for viewing which demonstrate some of the more extreme methods of torture being used. The museum also contains a library containing rare books on topics related to medieval torture. Some of these books discuss cases from court proceedings involving individuals who were charged with acts considered to be against the law during this time period. Guest speakers come in regularly to give talks on various aspects of Medieval torture techniques and culture as well as provide additional knowledge about certain artifacts found in the museum itself.
Visitors may also take part in activities which allow them to get up close and personal with some of these ancient devices; mock executions are held regularly at night for added authenticity!
