  : The very old building and grounds were beautiful and the owner did a lot to improve the structure. Also the Young woman who made breakfast each morning was very nice to us and made us a delicious breakfast so she was the light of our stay at the inn.
  : We never saw anyone but the young woman in the morning. I have stayed at hotels and many bed-and-breakfast in this country and abroad and have never been to a place where no one for the whole Friday Saturday Sunday stay was not there at some point in time to greet us or ask us how our state was. We booked the last room at the inn and the booking agent which was online stated there was a private bathroom what they didn’t mention was that the bathroom was at the end of the hall. Again not for me and my husband I absolutely hated it. The bathroom again was well done structurally modern but the floor was filthy and there were no toiletries. It’s stated in the description of the end that toiletries were provided and when we go away for a day or two we do not bring along our own toiletries. So our first stop Was the CVS drugstore to buy what we need it for a stay. The room was OK but very very dirty the floors were filthy the windows were a mess the windowsills I mean the furniture was dirty or clean or they look clean. The other concern was the door that was open to the end was left unlocked overnight the first night. The paperwork we we received on arriving stated that the door would be locked and we would be given a code to get into the door in the evening or night. When I asked the young woman on Saturday morning about the lock she said that it wasn’t locked because people forgot the code and the area was very safe and we should not worry about that. I told her that that is exactly what Udall Texas said before 21 people were killed at the school because the door was unlocked. The next evening Saturday the door was locked and we used our code to get in . So I don’t know if the ownership changed I know that everybody gives this bed-and-breakfast an excellent rating but I’m very sorry that I can’t do that. If you look back on other places that I’ve been to and used booking I don’t recall ever saying anything negative about the places I stayed so this is the first.

  : Lovely location.
  : There was a painfully obvious amount of deferred maintenance. Everything looked clean on the surface, but the hairs in the tub, worn gasket so a bath wasn’t possible, dirt in the bathroom corners (especially the water closet), grubby rugs, and numerous other things were a turnoff. When we got there, our room was 64 degrees, and no one was there. Keys are just left on a table. The kitchen was a cluttered mess. The entire house was cold because there’s only one central thermostat for the entire house. A repairman was there, so then the heat worked, but we were suffocating with the high heat. Windows had no screens and wouldn’t stay open if they’d had them. There wasn’t a simple box of Kleenex (facial tissue, essential for someone with allergies) available in the entire house. I could go on, but I won’t. Pretty old place, but either do it properly, or pass it on to someone who can and will. We were really looking forward to our visit at the inn, but it was a real disappointment.

  : The only thing was I wish we could have had more drink options in the mini fridge like a bigger selection beside soda . There are not many stores in walking distance that were open
