  : Our experience at the Holiday Inn Express Rantoul, Illinois, from July 19 to July 20, 2024 was very disappointing. I would not stay there again or recommend it.
  : The room was dirty, and hair was on the bathroom floor. The room furniture was damaged. The pool was out of service and appeared to have been for a long time. The pool was one of the reasons we picked this location. We checked in around 7 p.m. The front desk attendant was unoccupied when we first arrived, and several groups were also waiting. The attendant was wearing over-the-ear headphones and didn't remove them when talking to guests. It was very rude and unprofessional. Every time I saw this front desk attendant throughout my stay, he had the headphones on and appeared to be listening to music or talking casually on the phone. We went down to breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The pancake machine was broken, which was disappointing for my kids. We didn't need to use it, but the printer was also out-of-order in the business center. Overall, the whole hotel seemed very rundown.
