The Waterfront Penthouse

  : I love the space and view of the ocean. The deck was huge and perfect for watching the sun rise and set.
  : We paid a good sum of money for this penthouse for the purpose of privacy in which we had none. The windows have no curtains and neither does the door so anyone can look right in and see everything we're doing. The first morning we awoke to banging outside our room to find a maintenance man working on the condo next door. He had all his wood pieces on our porch so we couldn't get in and out easily. My husband was eating lunch at one point and thre maintenance guy was staring in at us and asked my husband to come out and help him. While he was eating! My husband is a kind man so of course he stopped his meal to help with a ladder. That same night I was having a romantic moment with my husband on the living room sectional while watching a movie and having a glass of wine when the next door person and their friend decided to move in furniture, also looking in at us in our living room space everytime they walked by. It was uncomfortable and disruptive for the hour and a half they were moving things in. So my husband and i decided to just go to bed. Zero privacy. We were also told no pets were allowed so we left our service dog with a friend back home. Only to find out the next door person had a dog that barked quite a bit especially when we would come to and from our room. Lastly we had no hot water the first night and part of the second day. We had to reset the breaker and still only one bathroom ended up having working hot water. It doesn't seem right that we spent over $1,000 for a private getaway that was far from private. Aside from that the location is absolutely beautiful. Its close to everything entertainment and food wise which was amazing. And the private beach and views were stunning. I just wish my husband and I had the privacy we were looking for, for our 10 year wedding anniversary considering we drove 4 hours to be here for our special occasion.

  : Excellent location and nice views. We came in the off season so it was pretty quiet. The property sits between a restaurant and a bar though, so if you're coming in high season and are an early riser, bring earplugs. Very convenient to restaurants and shops.
  : Beds need to be replaced. Minor repairs necessary, mostly due to winter weather. Some window treatments for privacy would be a good touch too.

  : The property is centrally located where shops are easily accessible. The ocean view from the deck is undeniably perfect.
  : Comfort and sleep are both essential checklists for vacation. The mattress in this property is far from decent. Our mattress is aged with body indentations and full of yellow stain marks. You can feel the coil/ spring poking your body when you lay down. Needless to say, I suffered from sleep deprivation and body aches. Not the best birthday vacation.

  : One of the rooms mattress was really thin despite being a sleep number bed on 100 (after a few days it became more grating on our stay) and the deck umbrella has issues.
