The TITANIC Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is a must-see destination for anyone wanting to explore the iconic story of the Titanic. This two-story museum allows visitors to explore the incredible history of the ship, its passengers and crew, and its tragic fate. Located in a replica of the grand vessel itself, guests can walk through 15 galleries containing artifacts and stories from the voyage.
In addition to learning about each passenger’s unique story, visitors can climb aboard an exact replica of the ship’s Grand Staircase. With more than 4,000 artifacts on display—from personal items of passengers to pieces from the ship’s wreckage—the TITANIC Museum Attraction offers something for everyone. Guests are even able to touch an iceberg and experience “Freezing Atlantic Water” at 28 degrees Fahrenheit!
Interactive exhibits allow patrons to get even closer to the history of this famous maritime disaster; in one gallery guests can climb into a lifeboat and hear haunting audio accounts from actual survivors of the Titanic sinking. Other interactive experiences include sending Morse code messages with a telegraph key and testing their knowledge with trivia games about objects found among the wreckage at sea.
The Museum also features memorial wall plaques listing all 2,208 passengers who boarded that fateful cruise, as well as a touching tribute film which plays hourly throughout the day. The 20 minute documentary includes historic footage and interviews with descendants of some of those on board. The movie ends with an 80-ft long glass wall etched with names dedicated to honoring those who lost their lives in 1912.
