Perdido Key Villa by the Sea

  : The home was wonderfully furnished, clean, comfortable, with all of the amenities that we hoped for inside the home. It seemed new and fresh and was really lovely! We really enjoyed morning coffee on the screened porch! Generally speaking, it was pretty quiet even with the pool right next to us and a noisy college group staying in the adjoining condo. We also enjoyed golfing from the part of the Lost Key Club that *was* actively staffed and available as advertised. We didn't eat at the golf club restaurant but it seemed very nice and the staff was so helpful and friendly.
  : Unfortunately we were met with signs which warned us not to turn the AC temp below 72 which made it nearly impossible to sleep as it was just too warm. After 2 days of communicating with Vacasa agents we were told we could turn it down just for the nights without fear of financial penalty. Additionally, there was something wrong with the refrigerator that wasn't attended to until after our food had spoiled, but we were reimbursed for the wasted food. Finally, the beach club which was supposed to have a food serving bar and run shuttles back-and-forth between the beach houses and the beach club itself were not running any shuttles and was neither serving anything nor staffed at all. Our particular beach house unit did not give permission to us as renters to use the golf cart so that made getting back-and-forth to the beach with all of our stuff pretty cumbersome and kept us from going as often as we would like to have. My husband would load all of our stuff up in the back of his truck, take me and our son and drop us off at the beach club, drive back to the beach house and bike back to the beach to meet up with us because parking at the beach was extremely limited. Not really what we had envisioned and wasted a lot of precious vacation together. All in all, the beach club itself and all that was supposed to be included for that aspect of our vacation was not as advertised but severely lacking and we were given no forewarning that that would be the case. Ultimately that was the most disappointing part.
