Mammoth Lakes is a village in the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains of California. The Village Gondola is the primary mode of transportation to connect the village with the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area . The gondola operates year-round, providing access to both the ski area in winter and the many hiking and mountain biking trails in summer.
The Village Gondola is a 8-person gondola that runs every 15 minutes from 7am to 7pm. It takes approximately 10 minutes to ride from the village to the top of the gondola station at 11,053 feet. From there, guests can access the ski area or take a short hike to an overlook with stunning views of the Sierra Nevada.
