  : The location is great. The staff was nice, and seemed to be doing the best they could with what they had to work with.
  : I booked a one BR suite, with payment going through a few days before our arrival. About a week before we were to arrive, I wrote the Blakely through Booking.com to confirm that we were getting a one BR suite and to request enough towels, plates, glasses, cutlery etc. for three people. I did not recieve a reply. I then wrote the hotel directly, and also did not recieve a reply. I tried calling, but the number provided by the hotel was apparenlty incorrect, since I could not get through. When I got to the hotel, the woman at the front desk handed us the keys, told us our room number, and sent us on our way. When we got to the room, it was not the one BR suite I had booked, but a regular hotel room (and of course there were towels, plates, etc. for only two people). I know what the 1 BR suites are like at the Blakely since I have stayed there before (when the hotel was under its previous ownership), and this was most definetely not it. When asked why we did not get the 1 BR suite we had booked, the woman at the front desk said that there was a problem with the air conditioning in a bunch of rooms, so they did not have a 1 BR suite for us, and this was the best they could do. Since the air conditioning was barely working in the room we did get, I imagine this could be true, but then the hotel should have informed me of this in advance, since I would have then had the option of cancelling before my payment went through a few days before our arrival. Nor was compensation of any form offered. I then called Booking.com to see if they could be of help, and spoke with a very nice man who said they would get back to me with a resolution within 24 hours. That was the last I heard from Booking.com. The room itself was spacious for a regular hotel room, but it was in desperate need of updating. The furniture is old and worn and the carpet looks (and feels) like it hasn't been changed since the hotel opened many decades ago. The air conditioning was barely functional.

  : hotel was very dated. Our air conditioning didn’t work. the phone lines were all disconnected so you couldn’t phone reception or anyone for anything. they just left the phones off. the bath had a leak. the hotel staff were not friendly or welcoming. reported the air con and leak to someone who really didn’t seem to care. the WiFi also didn’t work for our entire stay. the price of the hotel was far too much for the quality.

  : Everything. Wallpaper falling off the walls, AC only cooled the room to a great 75 degrees, no ice machines, no parking as advertised cost me $100 for parking. Found dirty socks behind our dresser
