  : We went to check in last night only to hear that we were downgraded and sent to another hotel almost two blocks away. Instead of calling us that afternoon to ask if we would like to proceed with the current booking (at the new hotel), the hotel had no contact with us or provided no support in walking over with all our luggage to the new hotel. The new hotel is not suitable for our travels as we required a fitness area as one of our travelling party is actively doing physiotherapy and needed the facility. The room and hotel that we were moved too was louder and has bare min. of the essentials that the original booking. I am beside myself. If we were given the opportunity to cancel or told in advance, even if by a few hours, we would have made the appropriate booking in another hotel for the needs of our travelling party. We had stayed here before and really liked it, hence why we re-booked. Will not be making that mistake again.

  : Great location and really comfortable bed. Lovely decor and the staff were friendly and helpful. The thing was we were transferred to the Draper hotel so this review should be for the Draper.

  : They didnt let us stay even though I had confirmed the reservation less than 3 days before. The hotel looked closed when we arrived, we went in, the waiting area was taped off with yellow caution tape and there was a large table with military and other official personnel sitting at it with those wands they use at airports to scan you and all sorts of other stuff. We were told our room was occupied, the hotel was being decorated, the government had bought the hotel and they couldnt tell us anything as it was classified. It really felt like the beginning of some kind of movie where aliens have landed and theres a cover up going on. I wasnt happy of course after confirming the reservation, the reason being I had read that people were showing up and not being able to check in as we were (I still have the confirmation email) They said they didnt have my details to contact me (I would have preferred to know in advance), when I said I had an email from them I could show them they claimed it wasnt from them! They sent us by taxi to another Best Western on 30th - this hotel was fine but I wouldnt have chosen it due to its location Although on reflection goodness knows what was going on at the Herald Square hotel, so I am glad we didnt stay there.
