Curry Field, Nashville, TN
Curry Field is a historic baseball park located in Nashville, Tennessee. The park is home to the Nashville Sounds minor league baseball team. Curry Field was built in 1978 and is named after former Major League Baseball player and manager Billy Curry.
The park has a capacity of 10,000 people and features a grass field. The ballpark is located in the downtown area of Nashville, near the Cumberland River. The Sounds have played at Curry Field since their inception in 1978. The team won the American Association championship in their first season at the ballpark.
Curry Field is one of the oldest minor league baseball parks in the United States. It has been home to many great players over the years, including future Major League Baseball stars like Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden. The park has also hosted several major league exhibition games, including a 1984 match-up between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds.
