  : I think that the owner or manager should spend the night in the unit themselves. they would find a bunch of small things that could be so much better, but probably aren’t noticeable to somebody who has never stayed in the unit. For example, in the second bedroom, it’s really dark in the bathroom when you’re inside the shower behind the curtain. The ceiling fan should be replaced with a combo unit that includes the light, it would make a huge difference.Some prior occupant had put the Lint filter into the dryer backwards, so the dryer was taking 3 to 4 hours to dry a load of clothes. We couldn’t get the filter out because it had been jammed in there, so we had maintenance come and fix it for us.A lot of the kitchen equipment was pretty messed up. Someone to do a whole inventory of the place, cutlery and cooking equipment.On the decks, some of the furniture and cushions, yet some matching pieces didn’t. Obviously, the cushions either blew away in the wind, or are just missing.in general, we really liked the unit and if we ever returned to Destin we would probably stay in it again. But these small annoyances are the kind of things that a really good management company would address.
