The Miami Circle is a prehistoric archaeological site in downtown Miami, Florida. It is believed to be the site of a Tequesta Indian village, and was possibly used as a ceremonial or burial ground. The Miami Circle was discovered in 1998 during construction of a condominium building. Archaeologists excavated the site and found numerous artifacts, including tools, pottery, and animal bones. The Miami Circle is now preserved as an archaeological park, and is open to the public for tours and educational programs.
