  : The tub was huge and comfortable, staff was friendly and tried to accommodate me, the view of the Queens borough bridge was amazing, which is why I stayed there in the first place.
  : I stayed at the Z Hotel from February 14-16, 2020. I booked the "Deluxe King room." I was initially excited to stay at the hotel because it was Valentine's day weekend and I wanted to do something social for my partner. I saw the pictures of the room and the view of the Queensborough bridge looked amazing, so I decided to book a stay there for two nights, however, the hotel was nothing that I imagined it to be. My experience there was disappointing, to say the least.When I checked in to the hotel, staff was very friendly, however I was asked for my credit card which I presented, it was swiped, I was given a room number with two room keys, the 50 dollar hold charge was explained to me very quickly and vaguely, I was asked to sign a form which I did. I never recieved documentation, to keep for my own personal records and this is a practice I am not used to, as I have stayed in other hotels prior to this one and I have recieved a printed receipt or confirmation from them, but not there at the Z Hotel.As soon as I walked into my room, I noticed the smell of cigarette smoke and heavily sprayed air freshener of some type which made my stomach queasy. My room was dusty with stains on the carpet, dust flew from the curtains when I drew them back to see the view of the bridge, dust was settled in the window seal, the sink had what appeared to he make up smeared on it. There was also a crack in the sink, which I complained to the Manager of Maintaince about, as I did not want to be held responsible for it after my stay there was over. The grey and white lounge couch in the room had ink stains on it, the window had a hand print and finger prints on it and even the night stands were dusty. The small table near the window was dusty and dirty, and the window had what looked like glue from glue gun stains on the window. I had to call for maintenance.

  : I stayed at Z Hotel NYC for 5 nights (Jan 2020) and at check-in, my credit card was charged the amount stated in the booking confirmation. I didn’t make any room service or restaurant orders during my stay.Upon check-out, the staff did not mention any extra charges to be made, but two days later I noticed that my credit card was charged additional $63. I managed to contact the staff, who told me it’s for orders from the restaurant and that I should contact the restaurant manager for further details.I refused and asked them to sort it out themselves, and later the staff stopped responding. Booking.com promised to ask the hotel for signed receipts, but nothing happened as well.The hotel arbitrarily charged me for things I didn’t order and ignored my requests to give me a refund or to demonstrate receipts signed by me.Every month I stay in about 5-7 hotels for work, and never ever, anywhere in the world, have I seen such a blatant scam committed in broad daylight.Avoid this property at all costs if you don't want to be ripped off as I was.
