Kirtsis Park in Lincoln City is a beautiful place to spend the day. Located right on the waterfront, it offers stunning views of the harbor and surrounding area. The park has plenty of amenities for visitors to enjoy, including picnic areas, playgrounds, walking paths, and a fishing pier. It’s also a great place for bird watching, as there are many species that live in the area.
The park was originally built in 1874 by local businessman George Kirtsis who wanted to create an area that could be enjoyed by everyone in town. He donated the land to Lincoln City so it could become a public park and over time it grew into what we see today. You can still find many of his original trees and plants scattered around the park.
Kirtsis Park features a variety of activities such as basketball courts, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, sandboxes, and even an outdoor pool—all free of charge! Additionally, there are several shelters available for picnicking or birthday parties. Throughout the summer months there are often events held at the park such as outdoor concerts or movie nights which make great family outings.
