The Mob Museum in Las Vegas is a must-see for any visitor to the city. The museum tells the story of the American Mafia, from its origins in the late 19th century to its present-day incarnation. The museum is located in the former U.S. Post Office and Courthouse building, which was the site of the Kefauver Committee hearings in 1950-51. The hearings were a major turning point in the history of the Mafia, and the museum does a great job of telling that story. The museum has three floors of exhibits, including interactive displays, artifacts, and multimedia presentations. The exhibits are well done and very informative. I especially liked the exhibit on the inner workings of the Mafia, which gave a good overview of how the organization works. The Museum also has a theater where you can watch a short film about the history of the Mafia. The film is very well done and gives a good overview of the rise of organized crime in America. Overall, I thought the Mob Museum was excellent. It's definitely worth a visit if you're interested in learning more about the history of organized crime in America.
