  : The hostel was very well located (30 seconds from a beautiful beach). The staff was friendly and did their best to allow its customers to enjoy their stay (a lot of free materials for snorkeling, surfing, and biking were at the disposal of the customers). The hostel is actually a big house divided into several rooms and two bathrooms. It is globally very clean and well decorated (the garden is really beautiful). The hostel is very well located because next to the beach but also super close to the city center (so it's very convenient if one wants to go out, do groceries or visit the city!!)Overall, the general atmosphere with the other guests was warm and respectful, which was very appreciable !!
  : Having a common area such as a living room with a TV or a sofa would be nice. Regarding the "hula" room, it was very clean but it was difficult to really ventilate the room with the windows. Also, even though the air conditioning was working well, it was definitely very noisy (so not very convenient for sleeping during the night). A real temperature difference was notable between the rooms (cold because of the air conditioning) and the kitchen. Even though the bathrooms were always clean when I wanted to use them, only 2 were not enough for the great number of people that we were (at least 10 people). Finally, the presence of several security camera in the kitchen and outside did not made me comfortable (even though i can understand that it's for security concerns, i could not very feel comfortable with the idea that i was filmed in a private property considered at home).

  : Very homey, clean and nicely decorated house with terrace, direct access to the beach and town. Everything you could wish for. Also very open and welcoming atmosphere within other travelers. Managers gave a lot of good recommendations on possible activities around the island.
  : During the stay a camera was installed in the kitchen/living room without informing the guests beforehand. This lead to the uncomfortable situation of two male house managers/workers filming and listening to mainly young girls/women in bikinis having private conversations. When we found out it felt like being on BigBrother unvoluntarely.Also some food and drinks got thrown/taken away, apparently because it wasn't labeled properly. Given the high prices in Hawaii it would have been nice to ask the guests beforehand if sb still wants to eat/use it to prevent food waste and negative feelings/misunderstandings.When the issue was mentioned the workers chose to confront not the whole group but mainly one of the girls in a pretty harsh manner which unfortunately lead to many tears and bad feelings in the house. A greater focus on a service oriented and respectful way of talking to guests, especially when working with mainly young solo-traveling females would be desirable to ensure a pleasant stay at the hostel for everyone.

  : They don’t have a front desk and you need to be calling staff for anything. They are confusing and forget about things you have agreed by messages - they say there is discount by paying in cash but forget about it and charge your card. My roommate couldn’t get in as they were not answering phones.

  : Stayed in a shared 5-bed room. Excellent location right next to the shops in Lahaina, excellent value and about the most affordable place to stay, neat decor, pleasant and very responsive staff, hostel kept very clean, a lot of free-to-borrow stuff (water shoes, beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, bikes, surf/paddle boards, mats, etc - just need to clean it yourself afterwards), respectful guests who were mostly early risers (although would still recommend ear plugs-provided by the hostel-and an eyemask), beach right next door, nice covered outdoor area to chill and dry bathing suits, rooms have A/C, bathrooms have good shower water pressure, flexible check-in time, coin laundry if you need it (can be used after 2PM), 2 fridges to share with decent appliances/plates/utensils/etc, free parking behind the hostel and more free parking available across from the church if the hostel lot fills up. Contact the hostel directly when booking and can have a cheaper rate.
  : Other reviews have mentioned this: 2 bathrooms to share for a decent number of guests, however, I was able to use the bathroom when I needed it and didn't have much issue. I spent most of my days outside anyways. Hostel parking lot can be a bit tight, but pretty reasonable to get into and even if it fills there is the nearby dirt lot across from the church that is accessible if necessary. Overall great hostel to stay at when coming to Maui if you don't want to break the bank and use your money to see the beauty of the island instead.

  : It was very clean both inside the dorm and in the bathrooms. The atmosphere was really nice and it felt super homey. The kitchen is also very well equipped, which is great for cooking meals.
  : The staff is pretty hands off meaning that there are no organised tours or activities. Although really nice and helpful, I also was not aware of all that was available at the property which I mainly found out through others.
