  : The beds were comfy and the room's AC kept the room cool the entire stay.. The location on the island... you can make an easy walk to a public beach access point with showers. There are stairs in case those are an issue.The hotel's location in KDH allows for quick trips north to Kitty Hawk or south to Nags Head. Check out online is simple and there is an early check in option for $40.
  : Charged twice for the room on the day of arrival and couldn't get their mistake fixed.. it's been 6 days! Also was charged early check-in (which is also a bonus) but in this case, we had to wait an hour to go to the room because of the staff trying to help with their double charge mistake.Door is somewhat broken as you have to put a shove it to get it even open and close.Extremely small shower/bathroom. And no light switch inside the bathroom. Broken tile around the spicket.No view of the ocean from an ocean side 2nd floor room. Most likely need a 4th floor if at all.Staff doesn't look like it's working much.Entire hotel needs updated.Outside side door keyboard doesn't work and door isn't locked so anyone and just walk in.Peta are allowed so be aware you'll have barking dogs like was there.Continental breakfast was pitiful.Milk was left out by mgmt. It should be in ice or a cold box at all times.Nice housekeeping lady alerted us of our door not being closed properly... because it doesn't close without shoving it shut. You can see all the scraping on the inside of the door istself.

  : AC would not cool the room. Complained and never heard from management. Fire Alarm went off at 7 am with no explanation.

  : The pictures are misleading. The hotel is ROUGH. Like, may as well be a pay by the hour ROUGH. The first room we were put in had visible mold. Duct tape was holding up the curtains. The ceiling was stained and had been painted over. They moved us to a cleaner room, but still not up to par and very disappointing. The area was also a little scarier than anyone would want for a family vacation. The facility wouldn’t work with us to find a better/safer place because we booked 3rd party (booking.com).

  : Outdated and a bit grubby. Morning buffet breakfast was terrible, better options to eat at a gas/petrol station.Beds were uncomfortable and air conditioning was poor.
