: Location is beautiful. Lots of trees, not in village. Vacasa did NOT hold us accountable for the broken shower faucet. The gave us a small refund and a late checkout for the hassle. If you read #9 in complaints, you'll see why we were worried about that.
: 1. So many intermediary companies. booking.com Gondola Resorts. Vacasa - very confusing. Gondola Resorts gave directions for lockbox to get keys & cards for building, which were very extensive, BUT they forgot to add an asterisk after the code. There were 2 lockboxes, not one. We tried the only one we saw at first. Talking to representative and then new manager took forever, and the manager finally suggested using the asterisk.2. Directions for getting into the condo via another coded mechanism said to 'turn lock away from door', 'clockwise' would have been the proper term. We often had to put code in several times because it would turn red in middle of typing.3. The shower handle and valve fell off while in the shower and we couldn't turn off the water. The Vacasa rep had a hard time understanding the problem until we sent a video of water spraying out. There was NO shut valve in the unit. It took Vacasa forever to find a plumber who finally had to drive a great distance to try to fix it. We waited a couple hours and then he couldn't completely turn off the water because of broken cartridge. Tons of water wasted. He will have to shut off water for whole building to finish the job on another day. There was NO manager or super on the premises to call. They need more emergency on-call people closer to location.4. The shower tiles had black mold. Obviously the cleaners are told to hurry and not told to get rid of that stuff. The unit was clean otherwise.5. The furniture is dated, especially the sofa.6. No Kleenex.7. A latch to open and close the window doesn't work well and will break soon. When that happens, there may be water damage. It seems like they only quickly clean, but no one makes sure that everything functions properly.8. Only one elevator in the whole building would make for long waits in busy times. No one was there and we waited a lot.9.
