The Wreckers Museum is the oldest house in Key West. It was built in 1829 by Asa Tift, a shipwrecker and salvage operator. The house is a two-story wood frame structure with a hipped roof and a central hall. The museum is located on Whitehead Street, between Duval St. eet and Truman Avenue.
