  : I have never written a poor review, and am hesitant to do so, especially since i didn't take pictures to point out specifics. But this experience was awful, so here goes- The room's cleanliness was passable at best, and there was no hot water the last of the two days we stayed at the Gilmore. Luckily the thermostat that was not adjustable in the room was set at a terrarium-like 80 degrees, so when I got out of my cold shower it didn't take long to warm up. In order to be at a comfortable temperature in the room, especially in the evening, we had to open the windows all the way despite there being no screens. While there were no screens, there were however plenty of birds and bird poop on the open window sills, in part because our room was directly above the neighboring restaurant's trash bins. Trash bins where restaurant employees would smoke weed (not the problem here) and get yelled at for it right below our open window at 11pm. I am from southeast Alaska, and fully understand that the same rules do not always apply as if we were in the lower 48, but this stay was a massive disappointment.
