  : If you like filth, rudeness, and staying with and behind animals, then stay at the Double Tree Hotel in Independence, Ohio! This was the dirtiest and filthiest hotel we have ever stayed at. When we arrived, the toilet was dirty and disgusting. The entire bathroom didn’t look like it was cleaned at all and the bathroom floor smelled of strong urine and the room overall had animal smells. It was clear that the room had not been vacuumed, because there was various pieces of thrash, pills and scrap paper on the floor and underneath the bed. In fact, the entire building wasn’t properly cleaned orvacuumed. Every room doorway, including halls and elevators had debris. A dog in a room next door barked all night. My understanding is there are supposed to be separate rooms for dogs (animals), I don’t care if they’re like your child. You can’t force someone to stay on a floor or in rooms where animals are kept. They’re animals and we have allergies to animals! Would you want to sleep after or near a skunk?! If not, why would you put dogs in every mainstream room? There should be designated rooms or a floor specifically just for that! I called the front desk and asked for them to send someone to clean the toilet, mop the bathroom floor and vacuum the room. When we returned to our room the toilet looked better. But the bathroom floor wreaked of an even stronger urine and sour mop smell. As if they used a sour mop and urine to mop. It was overwhelming! Not enough towels and wash cloths. My daughter asked a rude front desk woman who told her to come get them because there was no one in housekeeping to bring them. We only stayed one night and refused to stay another in that helltel! We complained to Kelly and Cheyenne to no avail. The next morning my daughter asked a rude man who answered the front desk phone to send someone from housekeeping to mop the bathroom properly, and he rudely cut her off telling her that housekeeping wasn’t even there yet! Just fire the cleaning staff!

  : Hotel outdated, towels were dirty in the bathroom, only had one elevator working and it was slow, guests at the next room were way too loud and slamming their door late at night and early parts of the morning.

  : When arriving, the staff was absolutely amazing. They were friendly, courteous, out going and just amazing. They definitely know their customer service and should be complimented on what an amazing job they did. The location of the facility was wonderful. It was within just a few miles of the event we were there to attend. The location of our room was terrific. The pillows were super comfortable. The beds were super comfortable and I was able to go right to sleep. The individuals who checked us in were amazing and gave us free meal vouchers for the restaurant in the lobby, and also made sure we felt welcome and cared for.
  : When we arrived in our room, it was freezing. The thermostat was set to 45 degrees, and the room was 62 degrees. It was absolutely frigid. I mean if you are wanting to store meat then it's the perfect temperature. There was still trash in the trash can in the room from a previous guest. The bed that my son slept in looked like someone had been laying on it. The bathroom door kept getting stuck, to where we had to use some force to open it. There were a limited amount of towels in the bathroom for showering.

  : The bed was super comfortable, and the Manger who checked us in was so sweet. She was doing her best while being short staffed.
  : The time to check in ended up being an hour. This was not the fault of the manager who was working. Instead, this lies with the upper management.

  : Room had staples hanging out around the bathroom doorframe. Stains on the comforter, pillows and bedroom floor. Frame around the mirror in bedroom was busted. Pool was closed due to “levels being off”, however it didn’t look like the pool area was maintained at all so it felt like an excuseWouldn’t recommend to a friend or loved one. Overall, very disappointed
