Robertson Stadium, Houston, TX

Robertson Stadium Houston was the home of the University Of Houston Cougars football team from 1940 to 1950. The stadium, which was located in the Houston Heights neighborhood, had a capacity of 32,000 spectators. The stadium was named after former University of Houston President William P. Robertson.

In its 10 years of existence, Robertson Stadium saw some of the most successful seasons in Cougar football history, including their first ever conference championship in 1941 and their first ever bowl game appearance in 1947. The stadium also played host to many other events, such as high school football games and track meets.

Sadly, Robertson Stadium was demolished in 1951 to make way for the construction of a new university library. However, the memories of Cougar football at Robertson Stadium live on through the many alumni who remember those glory days.
