  : The property is a lovely old plantation style building.
  : The description on Booking.com is misleading. There is no mention of the premises being entirely alcohol free and vegan. To be fair, the hotel's website is clear on these matters, but I did not think to check there having booked through Booking.com. I am happy with vegetarian food, but do not like a lot of vegan food, especially substitutes for dairy products.Also, the room was extremely hot at night, even with the windows and curtains open and the fan running at the fastest setting.The town of Hawi is very poor for eating in the evening, with very little open.

  : This is a beautiful old property that has been carefully restored and is lovingly cared for. It is cool and relaxing with large common areas. Breakfast is amazing! A great place to relax and explore the area.

  : This was a very funky boutique hotel that was oriented toward organic, vegetarian, and low ecological impact. The facilities were rooms in a large 19th century house with guest rooms on the first and second floors, as well as free-standing cottages of the grounds. Our room was cozy, comfortable and had its own bathroom. Everything was very clean. There was a lovely brunch that was served in waves from 8-11am. The place has a new age vibe but we were two carnivorous old age boomers who were made to feel very welcome. If you seek perfection stay at a fancy resort and exercise your entitlement to the fullest. If you seek a clean comfortable reasonably priced “something different”, this is your spot.

  : The place is arranged in a special interesting way which may be appealing to some quests.
  : Although required to take off shoes on entering, we found the room, specifically the bathroom, dirty (hair and dirt on the floor, old sink overflow quite rusty and dirty). We were surprised to find a shared bathroom. Luckily the other room wasnt occupied. Very uncomfortable bed. Although renovated, some old retro stuff should have been replaced/fixed. Breakfast is stretched over long period, which may be good to people who stay in the hotel, but not for those moving on.
