Squidbillies Monument in Ellijay , Georgia is a must-see for any fan of the popular animated TV show. Located on the corner of Main Street and Church Street, the monument immortalizes one of the show's most beloved characters, Early Cuyler. The sculpture stands at 8 feet tall and features Early atop his trusty steed, a mule named Daisy Mae. The statue is made of bronze and was created by local artists Brian Hanlon and John Donohue in 2020. It's been visited by fans from all over the world since its unveiling that same year.
The monument captures Early with his trademark beer hat and teeth-baring grin as he rides Daisy Mae into town. The sculpture also contains other details from the show, such as an acoustic guitar strapped to Early's back and a lasso looped around Daisy Mae’s neck. All around the base of the monument is an intricately detailed landscape inspired by Georgia’s Appalachian mountainside.
