  : The location is excellent, the rooms overpriced due to the neglected condition.
  : A better bed, more pots and pans, the tub replaced or at least repainted.

  : Private beach and the set of umbrella/beach chairs. Close to alot of beaches and restaurants.
  : Bugs were an issue. The mattressess were terrible, could use a remodel overall.

  : It was a short walk to the beach. It had a private deck and you could almost see the ocean across the road. It was on a quieter road than we expected. 24/7 security guards were great.
  : 1. Vacasa switched the room we paid for without telling us. The confirmation emails all had the correct Booking.com condo number in the subject line, but somewhere along the way, the condo number in the email body subtly changed. I realized this on the drive down and called Vacasa. They acted kinda dodgy and said Booking.com did it, and that the price and size of the condo I paid for were “similar” to what I’d be getting. But reading lots of other reviews from people who’ve had this happen, it’s the hotel that does it. They make it look like the nicer condo on a property is still available—then they shuffle you to the one that’s available. Thankfully, it wasn’t bad overall, but it felt like a sleazy experience. And as someone who’s been renting in Destin for years, it’s not worth the price. The usual places we stayed were all booked up, and that’s how we ended up here.2. Windows (which were right after street level), didn’t really lock and screens were partially broken. 3. Sand from the porch above was constantly being kicked down on us and our stuff. So forget about lunch on the porch, lol. 4. It’s tiny. You couldn’t have had more than 2 people in there without it being super awkward (as in, if the couch was pulled out it would literally touch the end of the Murphy bed.) Not worth the $$.
