  : the decorate was pretty and cozy
  : Firstly, they did not inform us the whole day that the room that was allocated for us has some issue and ended up we have to stay another hotel / accommodation. Additionally, it took the landlord / owner about 30-45minutes to attend and inform us about the room issue. Aside from this, the attitude and hospitality of the landlord / owner (Adam) was the worse we have ever encountered throughout traveling. What really triggered us was when Adam assumed we are concerned about the money which wasn’t; after all I have my full rights to check on the pricing of our next accommodation before heading there. So, what gave him the rights to make such rude comment to & on us? Furthermore, he couldn’t find more than an option for us for our accommodations and it’s somewhat like we got forced into staying the next hotel / accommodation (Thank god the landlord was so way much nicer and even understands our situation as well). He just kept saying go check with Booking.com and please note that it was 6PM at that point of time. To top it off, he told us he wouldn’t charge us a full amount cause this new accommodation is cheaper but end up, when we looked at our charges, it’s the same. Otherwise, the red rooster lodge other staff members were honestly excellent with their hospitality. Its only the owner / landlord (Adam) that has an attitude and hospitality issue. Overall, my experience here at the Red Rooster Lodge was the worst I ever had throughout traveling and experiencing cabin lifestyle. However, on the brighter side, the other staffs were great & I do have to say that their decorations were on spot as well (very cozy). As for the other accommodation, it was great & amazing with such amazing standard of a landlord / owner. He was honestly so open to welcoming us.

  : Being told 7 times that check in was at 4pm (we knew, we weren’t demanding early check in - we were merely tired of driving from SanFran and sat on the patio at 2:45 to chill and eat fruit we had purchased along the drive. Confirming dinner would be between 7:30-8pm and then finding out at 8:10 (because I had to go find someone) that no one was available to prepare the dinner for another hour to hour and a half. Then after 9pm being offered dinner “in about a half hour or so”.No acknowledgement or apology offered by the owner. My 83 year old dad, niece and I weren’t even offered as much as a cup of coffee from the spread that was being prepared in front of us as we checked out early the next day, What a disappointment.

  : The host was very friendly, nice and a great cook! We had no issues with the room, Wi-Fi worked well, and we enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed in the area to visit Yosemite National Park, which was just over an hour's drive from the lodge. Thanks Adam for a great stay!

  : Very relaxing and quiet cabin location within the trees. Lots of outdoor space to relax. Cabin had some kitchen facilities to cook dinner.

  : Adam, I believe the owner misled me. I made a reservation to take my son to Yosemite via booking.com. On that day forecast was snow. I drive a car that is not safe on snow. So I called the motel to change the date. He said no worry, I don't need to call booking.com - he will give me credit on a later date. After many tries finally today he answered the phone - He kept me on the phone for 24 minutes making noise in the background - Then after a long wait, he changed his rates several times, $157, $167, $188. On booking.com it showed $135/night for the same date. When I asked could you explain how you arrived at that rate, He hung up on me after he said Goodbye! He did not do what he said he would do. He misled me by not contacting booking.com and he would credit me for the $125 that I paid. I would not recommend this lodge. Read the other 1 start reviews before making reservation. I would take my money someplace else - Not in this off the road far from Yosemite NP - not close to anything but just this old house called lodge.

  : Very cozy location on the hilltop, kind of off the grid but it’s wonderful to take a pause off electronics and connect back with nature. Very close to Yosemite NP as well. Staff is wonderful as well, very kind and in for a chat. Thanks for having us!
