The Wells Fargo Plaza Fountain is a beautiful feature in the heart of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. This large fountain was created by artist and engineer Freida Feigin in 1986 and stands as an iconic symbol of the city. It stands at an impressive 30 feet tall and features a grand design with five tiers of cascading water that flow into a reflecting pool below. The beauty of this fountain is highlighted by the illuminated lights that make it stand out even more during night time hours.
At the top of the fountain lies a copper sculpture composed of three horses heads, representing strength and power. Each side also features two bronze sculptures portraying four eagles soaring around the fountain. These sculptures give the fountain an extra level of detail, which truly makes it one-of-a-kind amongst its peers.
The Wells Fargo Plaza Fountain has become a popular destination for locals and visitors alike who visit to take photographs or just take in its majestic beauty.
