Pine Knot Ranger Station (historical) Big Bear Lake was a ranger station in the San Bernardino National Forest in the U.S. state of California. It was located on the south shore of Big Bear Lake in San Bernardino County.
The ranger station was established in 1902, and was one of the first ranger stations in the national forest. It served as a base for rangers who patrolled the surrounding forests. The ranger station was closed in 1965, and is now a museum and interpretive center.
