  : We stayed for three nights. The beds were comfortable. The room was big. The location was good.
  : --Despite the fact that I got my car validated for parking, I received a parking ticket on my first day there. I showed the ticket to the reception and they confirmed that they had made a mistake and forgotten to enter my car in their system but then they were completly unable to help me in any other way. They told me to dispute the ticket with the parking compnay that they use and that I would hear back within 72 hours. I disputed the ticket, It has now been a week and I have heard nothing. Not the sort of stress I am looking for when on vacation. --When we checked out they were unable to print our receipts so they said they would email them. We did not receive the emails.--I emailed the hotel two days ago about the parking ticket and the receipts. I have not heard back.--I just called the hotel to ask about the receipts and the parking ticket. The person who answered could not spell my name correctly despite the fact I spelled it several times and she said I was not in the system. She kept forwarding me to a manager who was not answering the phone.I have now spent hours worrying about this and trying to get it fixed. Not the customer service I expect from a good hotel.Edit: I finally (after a week and three phone calls) managed to speak to a manager at the hotel who was kind and who listened. The parking ticket was voided immediatly after I spoke with her. So thank you to that person!

  : The location was beautiful.
  : The hotel is badly need of a refresh. You can see by the furnishing glory days of yester years of the 1970's The hotel room lighting was very poorly lit and one set of the lights over the beds in our room did not work at all. The other working lights were so dim that I had to take the shade off the standing lamp just to try to get better illumination in the room. The knob to turn the standing lamp on was broken even the knob to tighten the lamp shade was missing too, so that just shows past guest had tried the same attempt to lighten the room. Removing the lamp shade for better illumination only made a miniscule difference, so in a act of frustration I just opened the curtains and had to dress in the corner. The bathroom light switch you had to tap a few times and hold it so the light or fan would stay on. I made sure I had on rubber sole shoes because I did not want to get a shock. There need to be a hand bar added to the side of the shower to help prevent falling. And I know I am asking way too much now, but higher toilets' would help people that have problems getting up from lower seating positions. I did not get a chance to enjoy the little balcony because I was afraid to go out. If the balcony was maintained like lights and electrical matters are not being cared for I would not trust that exterior railings are being maintained either. The breakfast is not at all worth the money. However the people serving it are so kind and helpful. I would say that about all the staff I encountered. They seem like they take pride in their work they are not the owners of the building.
