The Cathedral of Junk in Austin is an impressive and unique landmark. Created by local artist Vince Hannemann, the cathedral is made from thousands of pieces of reused and recycled materials. Located in a residential neighborhood in the city, this structure is over 30 feet tall and consists of three stories worth of sculptures, models, furniture, gadgets and toys. From the outside it looks like a giant jumble of junk but upon closer inspection you can see the beauty in the details. It's hard to miss this enormous structure as you drive along Lamar Boulevard and Texans come from all over to take pictures with it.
