Oakland Cottage Bed and Breakfast

  : The innkeeper greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful describing the history of the location and providing tips. The king sized room had an adjoining room overlooking the front garden.
  : After breakfast on the first day we were told that the next morning a photographing crew would be visiting to take photographs of guests at breakfast and we had the option to refrain from participating. However, when we went down to have our breakfast we were confronted by a noisy family sitting at a large table in the middle of the dining room allowing their small child to cough without covering their mouth all of who were there to be photographed but who disrupted the relaxed ambience expected of a high class B&B. Although the innkeeper agreed to let us take breakfast in our room, this episode showed complete disregard for the comfort of other guests and negatively impacted an otherwise enjoyable stay. We didn't see the innkeepers on the last day of our stay and no apology was given. We wrote to them following our visit and were awaiting their response before writing this review but unfortunately it was somewhat dismissive arguing that such inconveniences are typical for the industry.
