  : Location was great - walking distance to beach, hiking trails, food, coffee, etc. it was also a quick drive to Santa Cruz boardwalk where we spent a day. The kids loved pool and hot tub, but there were never any towels. The restaurant staff was attentive and the food was good.
  : For a Hilton hotel, the staff were not knowledgeable about the area or attentive to needs. There were never towels at the pool, the bikes are terrible, and the room had ants trailing from the balcony to the coffee maker. When we reached staff members they responded as if they didn’t know or care. They aren’t wiling to share what they know about the area. They said the Rancho trails were bikeable with their bikes (they are not). We liked the pool but there were never any towels even after we called and went to the front desk to get some, it still took over 30min.

  : The location is good for both Monterey sand Santa Cruz.
  : What an absolutely dire hotel for a premium price.Firstly, we checked in for our two rooms at 16.05, when check in starts at 16.00. Told that only 1 room was ready and they had no idea when the 2nd would be available. When I enquired why it was not ready they just shrugged. I asked if they would call me but was told ‘nope sorry, you’ll just have to keep coming back’. Right, so your cock up but my inconvenience- great.Checked into first room to secure the 4 suitcases and waited 30 minutes to check in.Wait 25 minutes in a long queue to get the 2nd room. Only 1 person serving. When I asked from the queue if others could assist (2 members of staff stood in the restaurant area talking for the same 25 minutes!) I was told No!Get our room and find it’s not next to the first, as promised. In fact, it’s opposite the bins, that stink so you can’t open your window. We found out at 5am they empty the bins, and then at 6.30am the laundry/ goods truck arrives and unloads! Not a restful experience.So, we get back to the queue and wait another 20 minutes. Reallocated another room close but not next to our other family room (they gave it away to someone in the queue!) and moved again.This time our room is now next to a hen party that have descended. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Imagine a coven of cackling witches, plotting a Halloween venture, with tequila and you get the idea. So much for our quiet room.I join the queue again and we get moved to a third room but only the next morning. They give me a key and tell us we can move our bags anytime before 11.We get up at 8.50, pack our cases (again) and move rooms. We leave the hand luggage and some drinks in the fridge, intending to do two trips between rooms.We do the first trip, Get back to the room for our second trip and find it’s been cleaned (in the time we were gone!!). Go to complain.
